I love June. I hate computers.

June 29, 2010

Especially new ones. I took a zillion pictures of my gorgeous June garden, or our beautiful June sunsets, and of the bluebirds nesting on my front portal… but I can’t figure out how to load them onto my new #%&@*!!!!! computer. So I hope you won’t mind a few pictures of the same scene a couple years earlier. The flowers are bigger this year, but the bluebird looks just about the same.

I love my garden in June. The hollyhocks…

The sage and yarrow…

Normally we sit at the back of the house to gaze at the view of the Chama gorge, but in June I want to sit in my garden and enjoy the flowers. Here are four of my favorite people (my sister Liz, my friends Mick and Kristel, and my husband Nathan) trying to do so:

These are the baby bluebirds in their nest on the portal:

And this is the mommy (or is it the daddy?) waiting patiently for us to move so she/he can bring the hungry birdlets dinner:

We eventually took pity on her/him/them and watched the sunset from the back “yard”.

If it weren’t for the new computer, this month would be perfect. I hope you are all enjoying as lovely a June as I am!

Great photos!!! Guess it’s not too hot in June there. I live in the AZ desert & June, July & August are toasty. Did go kayaking on the river last week though & with 65 degree water, it was perfect.

Love the photos of the bluebirds. All we have here in Chicago are crows and robins. OK, maybe an occasionally cardinal.
