Poor choices

Interestingly enough, most poor choices seem to involve alcohol. Hmmm…

I know I said that the prize would go to the person whose poor choice amused us the most… but can I change that? The whole office voted unanimously – through their tears – to award the prize to Mandy for her wonderful story about the “poor choice” (or series of poor choices) that created her loving family. As Chan in customer service said “She wins. She wins hands down. She wins twice if it’s possible.” We’re suckers for happy endings. Joy Bailey put it perfectly: perhaps there are no poor choices.

Thank you, Mandy, and congratulations on your accomplishment! (And I don’t mean winning this contest.) Please email cs@annetaintor.com with your address so we can send you your goodies.

I’d also like to send my personal favorite flask

She was one cocktail away from proving his mother right

to Kelli Williams for a mother-in-law story that makes me laugh each time I read it. Kelli, send us your address!

And speaking of poor choices… here’s a really GREAT choice I made yesterday at the International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe:

These flowers are made from recycled plastic bags. I love them!

    yay! Thank you!

and I love those flowers! I’m going to keep an eye out for them around here. Recycled EVERYTHING is big here.. my cousin just bought a purse and wallet knitted from recycled plastic bags. The flowers are an awesome idea!
